Shinedown at House of Blues New Orleans - December 9, 2010

Atlantic recording group Shinedown has announced details of their upcoming acoustic tour. "Anything & Everything -- An Acoustic Evening with Shinedown" kicks off on November 4th at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa, Florida, and continues through a tour finale on December 9th at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA.

Tickets for "Anything & Everything" go on sale to the public on Saturday, September 18 (see Ticketmaster). Pre-sale tickets along with a variety of VIP packages will be available exclusively to members of the band's official fan club, Shinedown Nation, on Wednesday, September 15; pre-sale tickets and the VIP packages become available to the general public beginning Thursday, September 16. VIP packages for the tour include perks ranging from exclusive meet & greets and premium seating to the once-in-a-lifetime experience of sitting on the side of the stage while the band performs. For further details about ticket on-sale, pre-sale, tour packages and more, please visit www.shinedown.com.

"Anything & Everything" marks the first acoustic tour for Shinedown and promises to be an intimate evening of music as well as insight into the songs themselves. Beyond performing stripped down versions of their chart topping hits and fan favorites, the band plans on speaking candidly with the audience about the stories behind the songs and where they came from, even fielding some questions from the audience themselves.

Frontman Brent Smith: "We've always tried to exceed our fans' expectations with our live shows, giving 110% each and every night. We've been asked when we'd do an acoustic tour for awhile so we decided to take it a step further. We felt these types of shows were the perfect setting to really have a heart-to-heart with them -- a place where they could ask us anything and we would tell them everything. We can't wait."

Platinum recording group Shinedown has established themselves as one of the most successful rock bands of the decade with their staggering run of 12 consecutive Top 5 hit singles. The Jacksonville, Florida based band exploded onto the rock music scene with their 2003 Platinum debut, "Leave A Whisper," and 2005 Gold follow-up, "Us & Them." Their latest album, "The Sound Of Madness," debuted at #8 upon its 2008 release and has since gone platinum, selling well over a million copies in the U.S. alone. "The Crow & The Butterfly" is the album's fifth single, following an unbelievable streak of #1 rock hits including the cross-over smash "Second Chance." The band recently wrapped up the inaugural Carnival Of Madness tour, headlining a stellar lineup of today's biggest rock acts including Chevelle, Puddle Of Mudd, Sevendust, and 10 Years.

Metalheads rejoice: North America's biggest thrash tour in 20 years is announced, as 1991's original American "Clash of the Titans" lineup – Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax - will tour together once again on Leg Two of the American Carnage Tour. This trek kicks off September 24 at Verizon Wireless Theatre in Dallas, TX and will play 20 dates, including New York's Nassau Coliseum, concluding at Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on October 21.

On Leg Two of American Carnage, Megadeth will continue to roar through its landmark 1990 album Rust in Peace from front to back, while Slayer will rip the roof off by performing its much-lauded Seasons in the Abyss album, which was also released in 1990. Anthrax recently welcomed back singer Joey Belladonna, who defined the band during their heyday, and now permanently back in the band, will be front-and-center.

A special presale will launch this Wednesday, July 14, and fans should log onto to www.slayer.net - www.megadeth.com - or www.anthrax.com - to obtain the special code needed for the presale, and then go to www.ticketmaster.com to purchase tickets. The public on sale date will begin July 23 in most markets. In the spirit of beating the recession, there will be special pre-sale discounts on all tickets in most markets, and, if that's not enough, a limited amount of $10 tickets will be available in many cities - log onto any of the bands' websites or onto Ticketmaster's site for those details.

Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax will kick off the second leg of the American Carnage tour on the heels of the historical "Big Four" Sonisphere Festival concerts they played with Metallica in seven European cities this summer. The dates marked the first time that these four bands - acknowledged as the most influential bands the thrash metal genre - had shared a concert bill.

The original "Clash of the Titans" tour united the three forces of thrash metal for the entire summer of 1991, with then-little known Alice in Chains serving as the opener. This tour, which falls under the "American Carnage" banner, isn't rewriting history; it's writing a whole new chapter of headbanging history that is sure to delight fans new and old.

Megadeth and Slayer return to North America late this month to co-headline the east coast Canadian Carnage tour, and then starting August 11, the first leg of the American Carnage tour (dates below) with Testament as Special Guest. The tour was originally scheduled for a winter 2010 run, but was postponed when Slayer bassist/vocalist Tom Araya was forced to undergo neck surgery. But as is the case for anything good in life, this tour was well worth the wait.

The Monster Ball Tour Starring Lady Gaga
Saturday, April 09, 2011 @ 8:00 PM
New Orleans Arena
1500 Poydras Street
New Orleans, LA 70112

Lady Gaga has captivated audiences around the globe with her stunning international smash, The Monster Ball tour. In 2010 the tour has taken her throughout Europe to rave reviews everywhere she stops, with North American dates set to begin on June 28th, 2010. With the majority of North American dates already sold out, Lady Gaga today announced she will return to North America in 2011. The 2011 North American Monster Ball Tour will begin on February 19th, 2011 at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall, taking her spectacular show to top arenas and a host of new cities. Semi Precious Weapons have opened all dates for Lady Gaga's 2010 tour and will join her again in 2011. Tickets go on sale beginning May 14, 2010 at Ticketmaster.com.

Critics around the world raved about the first leg of The Monster Ball Tour, which Gaga described as "the first-ever pop-electro opera." The Sun called it "breathtaking stuff" and "the best live show you will see this year," while London's Independent wrote: "Gaga's got it, which is why, right now, the whole pop world wants to take a ride on her disco stick." Writing about her show at Radio City Music Hall, the New York Times noted that "her Monster Ball tour always provided something worth a snapshot: a sci-fi tableau, perhaps, or a skimpy, glittery costume. The more her image gets around, the better Lady Gaga does."

Lady Gaga is touring in support of The Fame Monster, which was released on November 18th, 2009. The album is the follow-up to 2008's Grammy Award-winning album The Fame, which spawned the No. 1 singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face." Combined, The Fame and The Fame Monster have sold 11.5 million albums worldwide, while Lady Gaga's current singles, "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "Lovegame," "Paparazzi," "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" have combined sales over 40 million worldwide. At this year's BRIT awards, she took him awards for International Album (The Fame), International Female Solo Act and International Breakthrough Act.

Citi® cardmembers will also have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, May 11th, at 10am local time through Citi's Private Pass® Program.

Umphrey's McGee Announces Full Summer Schedule

On the heels of big plays in Amsterdam and Australia, and still buzzing from the ground-breaking first annual UMBowl in Chicago, pop prog rockers Umphrey's McGee today unveil their complete summer 2010 tour schedule.

The band's summer plans include stops at festivals throughout the country: Bonnaroo, Summer Camp, Wakarusa, Summerfest, and All Good, among others. Additional tour highlights include a highly anticipated Colorado visit - for a July 3 "Red Rocks & Blue" show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre with Galactic (w/ Cyril Neville) and The Wailers and an intimate play on the 4th of July at the Gothic Theatre, and an opening stint for Widespread Panic on July 13 at LC Outdoor Amphitheater in Columbus, OH. Umphrey's McGee's complete summer tour schedule is included below.

The always forward-thinking Umphrey's McGee recently carved out new terrain in musical interactivity with fans, when they hosted the first annual "UMBowl" - an unprecedented 4-quarter evening-long concert at Lincoln Hall in the group's hometown of Chicago. For the April 24th event, fans determined the show's entire set list via real time text messaging and pre-show balloting. Complete with (quite funny) ESPN style videos in between quarters, UMBowl football jersey-styled t-shirts, and "overtime", the venue roared with the energy of an NFL Playoff game. Each quarter offered a unique approach to fan interaction – such as an acoustic "1st quarter" with songs determined by pre-show balloting, and a wholly improvised 2nd quarter performance driven by real time texting from the fans to the soundboard, where it was reviewed and delivered to the band (and the crowd) by "offensive coordinator/sound caresser" Kevin Browning. A Blogritics.org review hailed UMBowl as "…challenging, fan-centric and courageous."

Umphrey's McGee also recently released their song "1348" on the Rock Band Network. This marks the first time Umphrey's McGee's music has been part of any video game, and the progressive-rock influenced music proves to be a great fit. For "1348" Umphrey's McGee worked with former Harmonix Music Systems employee and current Rock Band Network freelancer Andrew Buch. In addition to "1348", Buch is helping to prepare several Umphrey's McGee songs for the program that will be made available soon.

Gov't Mule at Mahalia Jackson Theater - April 30th, 2010

Gov't Mule's night show during Jazzfest is a tradition dating back over 10 years. Following a a one year absence last year, the tradition continues Friday April 30, 2010 when Gov't Mule returns to New Orleans and plays the gorgeous Mahalia Jackson Theater across from the French Quarter. As the first theater to reopen since Hurricane Katrina, the Mahalia Jackson recalls the vibe, beauty and spirit of the Saenger Theatre and the Orpheum, two of the band's (and fans') favorite venues and sites of truly memorable shows. Jonathan Richman has announced a new run of shows with drummer Tommy Larkins. These twenty-seven shows, including a four-night residence in Austin, TX and a three-night stand at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY will kick off another full year of touring.

Upon wrapping up these dates, Richman will put the finishing touches on his forthcoming as-yet-untitled 2010 album with Larkins. This collection of songs will be a follow-up to his Vapor Records release Because Her Beauty Is Raw And Wild (2008), a moving portrait of love and loss from one of modern music's most original artists. The album featured a newly recorded version of "Old World," The Modern Lovers 1976 classic, as well as a cover of Leonard Cohen’s "Here It Is." Other stand-out tracks include "As My Mother Lay Lying," "When We Refuse To Suffer" and the playful title track.
